Dundee Sharks Basketball Club founder member Paul Boath has been re-elected as Chairman of the executive committee at their November meeting. The move came after Donnie MacDonald stepped down from the role that he had held for the last 2 seasons. Boath, who has been heavily involved with the committee over the past year as Coaching Co-ordinator and as Senior Men's Head Coach, take on the post that he has held in the past as the club look to continue developing. Having taken more of a back seat within the club for a few season, Paul has becoming increasingly prominent once again within basketball in the area recently, including taking on coaching the Tayside and Fife Talent Development Programme for basketballscotland.

The change in committee structure came after Donnie MacDonald prepares to move to Aberdeen after taking on a new job. On leaving the post of Chairman, MacDonald said "I have been very priveleged to be Chairman of the Dundee Sharks and am very sad to be stepping down. I also wish Paul all the best in taking back over. As the person who introduced me to the club, and as a close friend, Paul has always been the person I turned to for advice on basketball matters and I am sure he is the person to lead the Sharks to be one of the top clubs in the country."

With the change comes opportunities within the club, both in coaching and committee roles. Should anyone be interested in becoming more involved, they should e-mail dundeesharks@hotmail.co.uk.
